Step into History: Bangor’s Holiday Wonderland Opens Up

Guess what? The Bangor Historical Society is opening its doors to everyone this holiday season! It’s the first time since the pandemic, and they’ve got something amazing in store.

Even though the Historical Society hosts events all year round, things slow down a bit when it gets colder. But now, they’ve spruced up the Hill House on Union Street to transport you back to a Victorian Era Christmas. Imagine all the cool decorations!

While some of the usual historical stuff is taking a break to make room for the holiday magic, there’s still plenty to see. Matt Bishop, the Curator and Operations Manager, says they’ve got awesome paintings, pictures, furniture, and other items showcasing Bangor’s history.

The Thomas A. Hill House is open from noon to four, starting this Saturday. You can visit from Monday to Saturday until the 22nd, but they’re closed on Sundays. And guess what? On Wednesday the 18th, they’re staying open until 8pm! Plus, it’s all free and perfect for the whole family. Don’t miss out on this special event!”
