Fire Damages Orrington Home on Sunday
On Sunday afternoon, a house on Swetts Pond Road in Orrington faced damage from a fire, as reported by the Brewer Fire Department.
Luckily, nobody was in the house when the fire started, and the Brewer Fire Department is still trying to figure out what caused it.
The emergency call came in at 12:42 p.m., and Orrington firefighters were the first to get there. When they arrived, they saw a lot of smoke and fire on the first floor of the house, according to the Brewer department.
More help was needed, so a second alarm was sounded to bring in additional firefighters. Unfortunately, the fire spread to the second floor of the house, the Brewer department mentioned.
It took until 2:15 p.m. to get the fire under control.
While the main Brewer team was dealing with the fire on Swetts Pond Road, the off-duty firefighters at the station responded to another emergency involving a cardiac arrest, the Brewer department reported.
