On Sunday morning, a driver in Bangor had a mishap. They were trying to park around 10:30 a.m., but accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. This caused them to crash into the Denny’s restaurant. The impact was so strong that it even knocked some plates off a table inside the restaurant, according to Bangor police Sgt. Jason McAmbley.
Afterward, the driver reversed the car, then pressed the gas pedal again, hitting four parked vehicles. One of these vehicles had people inside it, but fortunately, no one got hurt, as per McAmbley.
The vehicles involved in the accident suffered damage worth several thousand dollars and had to be towed away. As for the cost of the damage to Denny’s, it’s unclear at the moment, but McAmbley mentioned that the restaurant remained open on Sunday.
