This season at Husson, something really cool is happening. Warren Caruso, the head coach, is coaching his son, Luke, in his last year. Basketball has always been a family thing for the Carusos, with Warren’s wife, Nicole, and their older son, Nathan, also being part of the basketball scene.
Luke decided to join the team as a walk-on player, and it turned out to be a great decision. Warren is super proud of Luke’s hard work and improvement as a basketball player. Being a coach’s son has its perks, like having a unique perspective on the game and learning what it takes to be on a championship team.
But it’s not all about basketball. When they’re not on the court, Warren and Luke enjoy their time together as father and son, having regular family dinners and talking about things other than basketball.
For Luke, playing at Husson has been extra special since he’s from Bangor, and the Carusos are determined to make this season memorable. They’re aiming to bring the Eagles back to the top of the North Atlantic Conference.
Don’t miss the Eagles’ game on Thursday in Bangor against Maine Maritime Academy at 5:30 p.m. It’s the start of an exciting basketball doubleheader with the Mariners!”
