Porch Pirates are people who steal packages from doorsteps, especially during this time of the year.
To stay safe, the police suggest using security cameras, being there to sign for packages, or having a secure spot for delivery.
If a package is stolen, contact the police. Officer Jason McAmbley from Bangor Police says, “Call us, make a report online. You can usually get your package replaced because there’s insurance with shipping companies, but they need a police report.”
If a package goes missing, check with your neighbors first, as sometimes delivery drivers mix up addresses.”
