Both lanes of the Interstate 95 bridge over Broadway will shut down for six hours on Wednesday night.

The Maine Department of Transportation crew will be taking down the sign above I-95, which drivers pass under when they approach the off-ramps. The work starts at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, goes through Thursday morning, and finishes up around 5 a.m., as per state officials.

During this time, there will be a detour in place, so it’s important for drivers to plan accordingly. These overpass changes are part of a larger plan to bring new businesses to that stretch of Broadway, including a new Starbucks.

If you have any questions, you can reach out to the Maine DOT at 207-624-3000.
